Abstract:
The “Voices of Change (VOC)” project aims to empower girls with migration backgrounds to actively participate in women policies within the European Consultative Body for Migrant Girls Civic Engagement. By fostering civic engagement and political participation, the project seeks to enhance their inclusion and contribution to democratic processes.
Objectives:
General Objective:
- Foster understanding of policymaking processes among migrant and refugee girls, enabling active engagement in EU democratic life.
Specific Objectives:
- Increase awareness of rights and EU values among migrant and refugee girls.
- Strengthen democratic participation and engagement with European institutions.
- Communicate views and concerns of migrant and refugee girls to policymakers.
- Operationalize and enhance capabilities of the European Consultative Body for Migrant Girls Civic Engagement.
Current Status:
The project has recently commenced its activities after receiving funding under the CERV-2023-CITIZENS-CIV Type of Action: CERV-LS and Grant Agreement: CERV-AG-LS.

Media Masters Initiative
Abstract:
The Media Masters (MEDMAS) initiative focuses on enhancing media literacy and civic engagement across nine EU countries, targeting diverse groups such as primary and secondary school children, college students, educators, and journalists. The project employs innovative tools such as a multilingual board game and a mobile app to simulate real-world media scenarios, combat fake news, and foster critical thinking skills among users.
Objectives:
- Increase media literacy among young people and educators.
- Foster civic engagement and participation, particularly among youth.
- Combat fake news, misinformation, and disinformation in digital media environments.
- Build public-private partnerships and promote dialogue on media literacy and democratic values.
